BEST Annual Conference 2024: Current challenges and opportunities facing public transport

The BEST Annual Conference will be held in Turku, Finland's oldest city, on May 23rd and 24th, 2024. Turku achieved the highest citizen satisfaction scores of all the 11 BEST cities/regions from 2020 to 2023. At the conference, you will learn more about the public transport system in Turku and have the opportunity to use it yourself.

Turku’s director of city planning, who will join us on the first day of the conference, will introduce us to the city's history before focusing on the challenges and opportunities we face as PTAs.

In the evening on the 23rd of May, we will take a short walk along the seaside before we board one of Turku’s waterbuses. The waterbus will take us to the Ruissalo island in the Turku archipelago, where we will have dinner together.

The conference offers participants many opportunities to exchange ideas and experiences and build a network with professionals from other PTAs. It is an opportunity not to be missed.

Venue:

The conference will be held at Scandic Hamburger Börs. Kauppiaskatu 6, 20100 Turku, Finland. 

Conference fee BEST members:

The conference fee is EUR 250 per participant (online participation is EUR 100). The amount covers the conference fee, including Thursday and Friday lunches and the colleagues´ dinner on Thursday night. One participant from each member/partner organisation is free. 

Conference fee PT authorities that are not members of BEST:

The same as for BEST members (EUR 250 per participant, EUR 100 for online participation). The seminar is only open to public transport authorities (PTAs).
